Reduce risk of Cancer, Heart Disease, Diabetes & Obsesity!

Did you know changing your diet can drastically reduce your risk of Cancer, Heart Disease, Diabetes, Obesity and more?  Did you know that half of all Americans have a health problem that requires taking a prescription drug every week, and more than 100 million Americans have High Cholesterol?  Should you buy food that is labeled organic to avoid pesticide exposure?  Are environmental chemicals a primary cause of cancer?  Or is your health "predetermined" by the genes you inherited when you were born?  If you're not sure of these answers, you aren't alone.  Few people really know what they should be doing to improve their health. -Campbell & Campbell.  Take a look into what real science has to say here in The China Study.

"The China Study presents a clear and concise message of hope as it dispels a multitude of health myths and misinformation: if you want to be healthy, change your diet!"

"The China Study gives critical, life-saving nutritional information....Dr. Campbell's expose of the research and medical establishment makes this book a fascinating read and one that could change the future for all of us." - Joel Fuhrman, MD, Author of Eat To Live

Feel Better with B!

A new study analyzed data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, with a focus on the folic acid (vitamin B9), vitamin B12 and homocysteine levels of 2,524 adults between the ages of 20 and 85 years old. Each participant also completed a standard questionnaire designed to assess mood health.
Results indicated that female subjects were more likely than their male counterparts to report higher frequencies of mood imbalances—and that lower folic acid levels were also inversely linked to greater measures of mood instability, especially in women. In fact, the study revealed a dramatic 63% increase in mood complaints among subjects with the lowest levels of folic acid, when compared to subjects with the highest levels of this critical nutrient.1
This researchers’ conclusion was an obvious one:  If you’re looking for ways to support mental health and give your mood that occasional boost, increasing your serum folate levels could be a big part of the solution.
So how can you do that? Filling up on folate-rich foods like lentils, leafy greens, orange juice, and bananas is a good start—but to make sure you’re getting enough of this B vitamin, taking a high quality folic acid supplement may be an easier option for consistency.  You can check out several recommended brands here - http://bit.ly/dNhrIm

Seaweed protection from Radiation poisoning

Wise Woman Herbal Forum from Susun S. Weed is timely and contains important information on the "why" and how we can protect ourselves from radiation. Her "Healing Wise" book has been in my office as a reference for years. And here again, we find ourselves looking at  "seaweed" to find the answer on how to protect ourselves, and this time from radioactive toxins. Check out her forum here  http://bit.ly/hwXS7w

Her book "Healing Wise" in the the Seaweed Library and really is a must have. http://www.seaweedpete.com/page/resources/seaweed-library The Wise Woman tradition is the oldest tradition of healing known on our planet, yet one that is rarely identified, rarely written or talked about.

Don't forget our pets. Fortunately, seaweed/kelp is already in most high-quality pet food. If not, sprinkle some kelp powder from HerbsPro at http://www.seaweedpete.com/page/health/nutrition
 or supplements available here http://www.seaweedpete.com/page/pets/dog-food-supplements

Calendula, which is commonly grown in flower gardens, helps to stimulate wound healing. When made into an ointment for use on open wounds, calendula is my favorite wound healer. I have used calendula ointment on my dog Wiley, and it works!!! Great for hotspots!! Seaweed Pete.
